Solidarity Bus to London

London Rally - January 21, 2012An email was sent by the Ottawa District Labour Council calling members to “Get on the Bus” (see original email below)!

A Solidarity Bus to London, ON has been planned for January 21st.  Smokey, Dave, and Chris think this is a great opportunity to show solidarity for 460 of our locked out sisters and brothers of CAW Local 27.   For details such as reservations and times, please read the original email below and download the poster here.

Original Email:

Good day,

We have several spots still available on the Labour Council bus to London for the “Electro Motive Workers Day of Action” taking place on January 21st.  Over 460 workers at the Electro-Motive (Caterpillar) plant, members of CAW Local 27, have been locked out since January 1st of this year.  The Ontario Federation of Labour, the Canadian Autoworkers, the London and District Labour Council and the Canadian Labour Congress are coordinating the rally.

Although it will be a long trip and a long day for us in Ottawa we are encouraging people to, “Get on the Bus” and help show support for the locked out workers in London and the clear attack on all workers across this country.

Please email Jennifer@ottawalabour.org or phone 613 233 7820 to reserve your seat.

Thank you.

In solidarity,

Jennifer Moore
ODLC Administrative Assistant
