Reminder: International Youth Day deadline

Hello all,

Just a reminder to everyone that the deadline for submissions to the
Provincial Young Workers International Youth Day Event is June 15, 2012. The
event takes place in Toronto on August 9 & 10, and is a great opportunity to
get young workers – who may or may not be familiar with the union and what
we do – together, discussing common issues. This event is a great stepping
stone for people who may be hesitant to get active in their local, and wages
are covered for those who require it.

This year’s event, “Economic Equality: Our Voice, Our Future,” aims to
empower young workers to make informed choices about their futures in OPSEU,
their workplace and the broader labour movement. We hope participants will
leave the event with solid ideas that they can take back to their
communities to make a difference.

So please spread the word, and make sure to get the applications (which are
available on the equity page of the website) in by June 15.
